Now he is finally here, our little boy. He was born on the 16th of August at 5.39 am.

We have no idea what his name is. :-) It's really really difficult because it has to sound good both in Swedish and in Finnish. Sami likes Emil, William and Elias. And I like William, Elias, Isak and Elliot. The 20th of September we'll have the name ceremony, so by then we have to decide. :-D

Since we don't have a big appartment, the baby doesn't get his own room. So I have prepared a corner in the office where all the babystuff goes. Not the bed, the baby will sleep in our room for the first couple of months. We borrowed the nursing table and the shelf that goes with it, from Samis cousin Jenny. I added some fabric to hide the bottom shelf and I think it looks really nice. :-)

Today, Sami and I cleaned the whole appartment very thoroughly. So now we are prepared. The baby can come. :-)

I can't believe I'm already in week 39. Thursday I started to have som painful crontractions (the body is only practicing). But I was by myself on the beach, so I got a bit worried. :-) But I drove home and after a while they stopped. But now I wont go anywhere alone. It feels safer and it's too hard to walk. Sometimes the baby really pusches downwards and it feels like I have a sharp ball between my legs. :-) And all of a sudden the contraction starts. :-) For the first time I feel limited due to the pregnancy.

So far I have tried to suppress the fact that I have to give birth but now I can't avoid thinking about it and it is very very scary. All the pain and what if something goes wrong. At this point I just want it to be over with.

I have been slightly lazy with writing in the blog. I have been on maternity leave for 2 weeks and I have been extremly busy doing nothing. :-D I have no idea where the time went. Well, I'm not bored yet anyway.

The baby is so active and so strong. It stretches and kicks and it's quite tireing sometimes. But I'd rather have an active baby than a baby that moves rarely. I would be so worried something was wrong if I couldn't feel it.

Heba, my Icelandic friend was here visiting with her son who is 4 months old. He got to try the baby gym. And he seemed to approve it. Hitting the toys with his small hands. :-) Heba gave me a gift card for a baby cloths shop. So nice of her! :-) I went there the next day and I bought so cute things. I'll add photos later.

A week ago my Norwegian friend Irene had her baby, Anneli. I went to the hospital for a short visit on thursday. And the baby was so cute. My good! :-) So small! Now I long even more for our baby to come. I can't wait! :-) "Only" 3 more weeks.

They told me at the hospital that if I pass the expected date, they will start the delivery. Since I take insulin they don't wait. I really hope the baby will be on time.

I am now in week 32 (31+3). The time is moving so fast and at the same time so slow. :-D I really want to meet our little baby. Who is he? What little person is hiding in my belly? :-)

I started with insuline for the diabetes last week. So now my blood sugar is a bit more normal. I've had a cold for a week, which make the blood sugar a bit higher than normal. So it is hard to know the actual blood sugar levels.

We had another ultra sound because of the diabetes. If you have pregnancydiabetes the risk is that the baby gets really big. But our little boy was normal size and everything looked fine. :-D

Here's the belly. Week 27+6. :-D Growing and growing. Today my mother and Sune bought a carrycot (mjuklift) and a breastpump for us. Both second hand, but very good condition. The second hand market is so much better in Sweden, that's why we do it this way. Now we've only got the baby watch and an electrical breast pump left. And of course... the video camera! So that we can film every little kick now and then every little step when he is born. :-D

I took the bloodsugar test last Friday. Monday the nurse called and said my values are to high. So now I can't eat anything sweet or with alot of carbs. I have to messure my bloodsugar for 6 days and then we'll see what we'll do. Hopefully I can regulate the bloodsugar with a good diet and exersise. Otherwise I have to take insuline. Well, I really hope not.

My iron levels are super low and I am dizzy and really really tired. I went home from work today. I slept 4 hours! And when I wake up I am still tired. But, anyway, the baby seems fine. He has alot of energy. Kicking, poking, pushing. And alot harder now. It's so fun. :-D

I'll take a belly photo this weekend, if I don't look too tired. :-)
